Policy
Refund & cancellation policy
Effective date: 22 April 2026 · Issued by Manadi Consulting LLP (LLPIN ACU-1806).
We want the people we work with to be clear about what they are paying for and what happens if plans change. This page sets out how refunds and cancellations work across our engagement types.
1. Summary
- Cancel a discovery consultation at least 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund.
- Scoped projects and retainers are refundable only for work not yet performed at the time of cancellation.
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment instrument within 5–7 working days, and typically settle within 7–10 working days depending on your bank.
- To request a refund, write to mail@manadiconsulting.com from the email address used to book or engage us.
2. Discovery consultation
The discovery consultation is paid in advance through Razorpay.
- Full refund — if you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled call, we refund the full amount.
- Reschedule free of charge — if you reschedule at least 24 hours before the call, there is no charge; we will propose alternative times.
- Partial refund (50%) — cancellations made less than 24 hours before the call, or reschedules beyond a single rescheduling, are refunded at 50%.
- No refund — if you do not attend the call and do not cancel or reschedule, the fee is non-refundable.
- Full refund if we cancel — if we cancel or are unable to hold the call, we refund the full amount, and offer to reschedule at no charge.
3. Scoped projects
Scoped projects are governed by an engagement letter that sets out deliverables, milestones, and payment schedule.
- Before work begins — if you cancel before any work has been performed, any advance paid is fully refundable, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (we will itemise these if any).
- After work begins — if you cancel after work has begun, you are charged for work performed up to the cancellation date (including work in progress), and the balance of any advance is refunded.
- If we cannot perform — if we become unable to complete the engagement for a reason attributable to us, we refund fees paid for work not yet delivered.
4. Advisory retainer
Advisory retainers are billed monthly in advance with a minimum term of three months, unless agreed otherwise in the engagement letter.
- Ongoing term — once the minimum term has been completed, you may cancel on 30 days' written notice. The retainer fee for the notice period is payable.
- Within the minimum term — cancellation within the minimum term does not entitle you to a refund of fees for that term, but we will continue to provide the contracted hours for the balance of the term.
- Unused hours — hours included in a retainer month do not typically carry over unless the engagement letter says so.
- If we cannot perform — if we fail materially to deliver the contracted hours in a given month, we credit or refund the corresponding share of that month's fee.
5. Training & workshops
Training engagements fall into two categories — public (open-registration) seminars and workshops, and in-house (commissioned) programmes.
Public seminars and workshops
- Full refund — cancel at least 7 days before the event for a full refund.
- Partial refund (50%) — cancellations between 7 days and 48 hours before the event are refunded at 50%.
- No refund — cancellations less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable. Your seat may be transferred to a named colleague at no additional charge if you let us know in advance.
- Free date transfer — where a seminar is held regularly, you may transfer your registration once to a future date at no charge, provided you give at least 48 hours' notice.
- If we cancel or postpone — we refund the full amount, and offer to transfer your registration to a future date at no charge.
Commissioned in-house programmes
- Before design begins — cancellation before the written programme design is commenced entitles you to a full refund of any advance paid.
- After design begins — if cancelled after design work has started, you are charged for the design work performed (at the per-day rate) and any balance is refunded.
- Within 14 days of delivery — cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled first delivery date attract the completed design fee plus 50% of the first scheduled delivery day.
- Postponement — one postponement of up to 60 days is accommodated without charge, if notified at least 14 days in advance of the scheduled date.
- If we cannot deliver — if we are unable to deliver the programme for a reason attributable to us, we refund the full amount.
6. How to request a refund
Send an email to mail@manadiconsulting.com from the email address used for the booking or engagement. Include:
- the Razorpay payment ID (if any) or the invoice number;
- the date of payment;
- a short description of the engagement;
- the reason for the refund request.
We acknowledge requests within two working days and respond substantively within five working days.
7. Processing time
Once a refund is approved, we initiate it with our payment processor within 5–7 working days. The money is returned to the same payment instrument you used. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it typically settles within 7–10 working days after initiation.
8. Payments made in error
If you pay us in error — wrong engagement, wrong amount, duplicate payment — write to us immediately and we will reverse the payment in full, within the same processing timelines above.
9. Chargebacks
If you raise a chargeback with your card issuer for a payment you made to us, please also write to mail@manadiconsulting.com so we can help resolve the underlying issue directly. We respond to chargeback claims with records of the engagement, deliverables, and any prior refund correspondence.
